GVB Courses

There are two sections for the GVB: the theory test and the practical test. For both tests you can follow a course.

GVB Theory course adults (from 14 year)

Location: clubhouse or bowlingcentrum.

The cost for the GVB rule Exam are €20,00. Do you have a re-exam then the costs are €10,00. A re-exam is ca. one week later then the regular exam.

The GVB Rule Exam consist of 20 questions.

  • 3 etiquette questions
  • 16 rule questions
  • 1 stableford question

The duration of the exam is maximum 60 minutes.

You are passed when you answered at least 15questions correctly!

GVB Practical Exam

You can sign up for the practical exam only after approval of our Pro’s.

The costs for the theory & practical exam combined (incl. Greenfee) is €75,-.  For members €60,-

A re-exam for the practical exam costs €35,-.

Costs have to be paid in cash on the evening of the start of the theory course.

Practical exam consist of 2 parts:

1. Technical test

In the technical test you are examined if you control the different elements of the game.

  • Hits: 5 hits straightly forward. Ladies has to hit at least 3 hits of 80 meter. Men has to hit at least 3 hits of 100 meter.
  • Approaches: 5 approaches from ca.  20 meter from the hole and extensive outside the green. At least 3 hits has to be in reasonal distance of the hole (max. 6 meter).
  • Putting: 5 holes putting over a distance from ca. 8 meter of the hole (possible 5 times the same hole but from different directions), in a maximum of 15 putts.

2. Practical test: You play 9 holes, under guidance of the examinator. The game play  is individual Strokeplay.

The practical test if successful when the examinator signs the paper and thereby confirms that:

- the noted score per hole is correct

- the player know the rules and etiquette of golf and knows how to apply them. There is special attention to the safety of co-players, the speed on the course , care of the course and attention to the game of co-players.

- the total score over the 9 holes is at least 18 Stablefordpoints. ( Playing handicap: men 54, ladies 55)
